The lodge had a cozy and rustic charm, with high ceilings and polished floors. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and spacious, with the added bonus of electric blankets and a small TV. The kitchen was well-equipped, making it easy to cook my own meals. The location was great for exploring the area, with beautiful natural surroundings and the chance to spot wildlife.
There were limited dining options nearby, so cooking my own meals was necessary. The lodge was basic in terms of amenities, but it was functional and offered great value for the price.

I recently stayed at a charming lodge near Arthur's Pass, and it felt more like staying in a friend's cozy home than a typical hostel. The lodge had clean and comfortable rooms, complete with heaters and electric blankets for those chilly nights. The lounge and kitchen were well-equipped, and the hosts made us feel right at home. They even had the heater on in the lounge and the electric blanket on in our room, which was such a thoughtful touch. Despite occasional road noise, the lodge's tranquil location in nature was a welcome retreat. I highly recommend this lodge for a warm and welcoming stay.

The accommodation was very comfortable and cosy, with beautiful outlooks of the forested valley. The hosts were excellent, providing warm and welcoming hospitality. The double room with ensuite was excellent, and the shared kitchen and lounge areas were clean, tidy, and well stocked with entertainment options. The lodge had a great homely feeling and exceeded our expectations. It was a great choice for a quiet and smaller-sized backpackers.
We had a few issues during our stay. There was a spider in our bathroom and the shower didn't work properly, fluctuating between scalding hot and very cold.

The rooms were clean and comfortable with heaters and electric blankets provided for warmth. The kitchen was well-equipped, making it easy to cook my own meals. The friendly and supportive staff made me feel welcome and ensured that my stay was enjoyable. the location was quiet and surrounded by nature, offering a peaceful atmosphere. Taking a short drive over to Arthur's Pass was convenient for exploring the area.
Occasional road noise from big trucks at night could be heard, but it wasn't too disruptive. This is something that is common in the area and not specific to this accommodation.

The location of the lodge was perfect for exploring the surrounding tourist sites. We were able to easily visit the nearby hiking trails and enjoy the beautiful scenery. the owners of the lodge were incredibly friendly and helpful, providing us with useful information about the area.
One major downside was the lack of grocery stores nearby. We had to drive a considerable distance to find a supermarket, which was quite inconvenient.
